Our Zinc Coated Wire Decking is a drop-in steel wire panel that converts pallet racking beam levels into load-rated storage surfaces. The wire is coated with a zinc finish, giving a UDL rated wire decking surface that resists rust in humid or unheated warehouses without the cost of hot-dipped galvanizing. Integrated FTB support (Full Tension Beam support) locks the panel onto the step beam so the load spreads evenly across the beam rather than hanging on the mesh, which stops the panel walking out of position when a forklift sets a pallet down. The open mesh keeps the sprinkler path clear, lets air move through the rack and stops dust collecting, while the zinc coating is available as a galvanized finish wire or pre-galvanized steel depending on the atmosphere on site. Standard panels are built to common Australian beam and frame dimensions, from a 915 mm deep wire deck for narrow frames up to a 1,525 mm deep wire mesh for deep double-deep bays, with matching widths such as a 610 mm wide wire deck, a 1,170 mm wide wire deck and a 1,320 mm wide wire mesh.

Every size is rated as a static load wire deck at UDL (uniformly distributed load), from a 680 kg capacity deck for light carton storage through a 900 kg capacity deck and a 1,135 kg capacity deck to a 1,360 kg capacity deck, and up to a 1,815 kg heavy duty deck for dense palletised goods. If you need a heavier coating for an outdoor yard, a wash-down area or a food plant, say so when you enquire and we will quote hot dipped galvanized or pre-galvanized steel instead. Coating thickness and finish are confirmed against your drawings before production.

A: No. The panel drops straight onto the step beam and the FTB support holds it in place, so no bolts, clips or drilling are required. Two people can set a full run of beam levels by hand during a rack installation or a decking upgrade.
